If you’re looking to join classes by yourself or with friends, learn steps for social events, or to keep fit and healthy, we have just the class for you! Whether you prefer technical information, practising with others, or dancing to the songs of your club days, our teachers make your experience interesting, fun, and relaxed at all times.
Both our teachers are trained dancers, having worked for 27 and 21 years each to reach their potential both socially and competitively. In fact, our teacher Jonny is a Sidcup local - he has been teaching in Sidcup and New Eltham for nearly 15 years! We are safeguard-certificated, first aid-trained, and DBS-checked so that the staff promotes a safe and encouraging environment for everyone to learn in.
Mainly operating out of Hurstmere Secondary School in Sidcup (where our teacher Jonny went in his youth!), our classes offer a quiet location, with easy access and parking at the front and behind the school.
Jonathan 'Jonny' Salmon
Fitness Instructor/Dance Teacher
Although his passion lies in Ballroom dancing (in which he successfully competed at a high level for many years), he's also discovered a real talent for Rock 'N' Roll Jive and social dancing.
He has 27 years of dance, and 14 years of teaching experience under his belt in both Sidcup and Reading, making him our most seasoned instructor.
He is renowned for his engaging, fun, and easy-going teaching style, which is a favourite with his students who love learning with a smile.

Dance Teacher/Operations
With 21 years of Ballroom and Latin dance experience herself, she excels at breaking down rhythms and technique to make them more accessible to her students. She has taught students of all ages and abilities in various styles, always with the goal of igniting and supporting their passion for dance.
She runs our social media accounts to keep everyone updated and entertained, and also ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Janet Rumble
Class Assistant
Janet has been teaching for the past 25 years, guiding people all the way from their first steps to advanced moves. She absolutely loves sharing her extensive knowledge with her students, particularly in salsa which is her specialism. Previously she joined a performance group to showcase her skills, as well as once taking part in an amateur competition. With GBSE, Janet assists with our beginners, seamlessly fitting into both leader and follower roles wherever help is needed.
Luna
Chief Treat Taster
Though she may not be the one teaching the steps, Luna is a vital part of the Glitterball SE family. Her joyful spirit and endless kisses have a way of lifting our moods and keeping us motivated, whether we're working out a new routine for classes or preparing for an event - and this is reflected back to you, the students!
Her favourite dance is the Bark Bark Bark, and she paw-ticularly enjoys it when we paw-fectly roll through the foot from ball to heel. She insists you all treat yourself to a class at Glitterball SE!
